He represented local people at town hearings countless times since the 1970s.
“Bob was a man of strong convictions, endless curiosity, and many passions. He loved staying active, keeping physically fit, studying astrophysics, and immersing himself in history, especially British history and World War II. Whether traveling through England, exploring the mysteries of the universe, or sharing his knowledge and opinions, he never stopped learning,” the family said in a death notice.
“Above all, he was immensely proud of his family. He cherished time spent with his wife and children, especially the many memories made together in Vermont, Hilton Head Island, and throughout Europe. Bob lived with determination, passion, and an unwavering commitment to what he believed in. His pride in being a Marine, dedication to the law, insatiable curiosity, and love for his family shaped who he was. Good night, Bob wherever you are! Semper Fi,” according to the death notice.
