Arlington weather: frost possible, chilly start

October 7, 2026

Arlington will get one last taste of summer Friday before a cold front brings showers and possibly a thunderstorm Friday evening. Cooler, drier weather follows Saturday, while a system passing south of New England could bring some showers Sunday. The coolest air of the season arrives early next week, with chilly temperatures Tuesday and Wednesday before a modest warmup begins Thursday.

Wednesday, Oct. 7

A very chilly start with temperatures in the 30s across much of the area. Frost is possible in colder and more sheltered locations, especially around Arlington Heights. Otherwise, expect a dry and crisp fall day with plenty of sunshine and lighter winds.

Arlington Heights: High 58°F / Low 38°F

Arlington Center: High 60°F / Low 41°F

East Arlington: High 59°F / Low 43°F
