UPDATED March 24: Beats for EATS, the annual fund-raiser for local nonprofit food-justice organization Arlington EATS, was held Saturday, March 22, and raised more than $120,000.
In a email March 24, the nonprofit reported the total aimed to support Arlington neighbors.

That evening, Town Hall (730 Mass. Ave.) featured live music by New England-based Soul City band. The event is set to start off with a cocktail hour with craft drinks provided by Arlington Brewing Co. and Slainte bartending.
A silent auction opened March 14 and closed the evening of the fund-raiser.

Organization officials say that the need is real and continuing. Last year, the fundraiser raised $135,000.
More local families than before now rely on EATS — but the nonprofit believes that it can meet the community’s need because of the generosity of neighbors in Arlington.
