Also on Thursday, Oct. 19, this time at about 7:22 p.m., officers responded to Park Avenue about a reported hit-and-run. A resident said that at about 7 p.m. she had been eating dinner inside the house with her family when she suddenly heard a loud bang from out front; she swiftly checked and observed that the entire driver’s side of her Chevrolet Bolt had been scraped and that the front left side mirror was on the ground.
She stated that the driver of the suspect vehicle did not stop to exchange information..No one in the surrounding area appeared to have witnessed the event. However, the responding officer observed a different vehicle parked on the side of the road directly outside the reporting party’s residence — and also that this vehicle was damaged in a way consistent with the damage to the Bolt.
The officer searched the area for any cameras that might have captured the incident, but with negative results. The victim was advised to notify her insurance company and told that a report would be filed for her to have on the next business day, with an incident number to be provided.
This follows two other noninjury crashes occurring within nine hours of each other on Tuesday, Oct. 17.
