Officers provided first-aid and stayed until Arlington Fire Rescue arrived and extricated the passenger, who was transported to a medical facility.
The driver told police the couple was eastbound on Broadway when, all of a sudden, the vehicle pulled to the right, causing it to go off the road and strike a tree. The vehicle then rolled over and ended up on its roof.
Police spoke to witnesses who said the vehicle was traveling straight and suddenly pulled to the right and struck the tree.
Police filed an immediate-threat form to the Registry of Motor Vehicles to make sure the driver is medically fit to drive a car.
