In mid-February, Arlington police became aware of an individual, who they said was later identified as Brown, who was believed to be selling drugs in town, and immediately began an investigation.
On Friday, Feb. 28, just before 11:40 a.m., Brown and Babbitt arrived at a Gardner Street apartment after setting up a meeting with an undercover officer. Two undercover police officers were waiting at the apartment, and arrested the pair following the meeting.
Police said they found 15.5 grams of methamphetamine in Brown’s possession at the time of his arrest.
Brown and Babbitt were taken into custody without incident. They will be arraigned Monday, March 2, at the Cambridge District Court.
These are allegations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
