An Arlington man was arrested Monday, Aug. 15, in Somerville on charges that he shouted at a man in Charlestown: “Get out! I need your car!”
Boston police said in a statement that Jonathan Daniell, 28, was arrested. Around 8:30 p.m., officers responded to the area of 437 Rutherford Ave., Charlestown, after a report of an armed carjacking.
Police said a man had turned his car on when the suspect abruptly opened the driver’s side door and said, The suspect had a hand hidden under his shirt and was gesturing as if he had a gun, police said.
The victim complied, and police said the suspect nearly caused an accident as he drove away, Boston.com reported Aug. 16.
