Plug In at Robbins: Steps to manage memory, Alzheimer’s, dementia

May 4, 2025

“Plug in @ The Robbins,” an educational series targeting those 50 and older, invited the public to a free program regarding Alzheimer’s Disease and Dimentia, Tuesday, May 13, at 6:30 p.m. in the Robbin Library Community Room.

“Why We Forget and Steps To Managing Memory, Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia” was led by Dr. Andrew Buston who will share his guide for families: Six Steps to Managing Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia, including managing issues with memory, language, vision, behavior, driving, incontinence and sleep.

This program aims to explain how individuals can distinguish changes in memory due to Alzheimer’s versus normal aging, what medications, diets, and exercise regimes can help, and the best habits, strategies, and memory aids to use.

Although this educational series is targeted for those 50 years and older, anyone above the age of 16 is invited to attend. Plug In @ The Robbins is made possible thanks to the John F. Barry and Margaret O’C. Barry Memorial Fund.

Robbins Library is at 700 Mass. Ave.
