“Plug in @ The Robbins,” an educational series targeting those 50 and older, has announced the first event of the new year has been scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 23, in the Robbins Library community room.
According to a recent news release, this is a Valentine’s Day card making activity for local clients of Meal on Wheels, a program which delivers hot lunches to homebound older adults unable to prepare their own meals.
The Plug in series has been hosting this specific event for four years now; last year, the group constructed more than 250 cards.
Those interested in attending this event can expect to create six to 10 holiday cards using a variety of cardstock, patterned paper and stickers. Attendees are invited to bring additional materials as well.

The email release noted this event is to be capped once 25 reservations have been made.
Although this educational series is targeted for those 50 years and older, anyone above the age of 16 is invited to attend. Plug In @ The Robbins is made possible thanks to the John F. Barry and Margaret O’C. Barry Memorial Fund.
