Troop 306 of Arlington conducted its annual holiday gift drive — a way you can help local teens in need served by the Department of Children and Families — through Dec. 8.
This was the Arlington-based Troop’s 12th year working to make sure teens are remembered at the holiday season.
Residents dropped off new, unwrapped items, such as hats, gloves, scarves, socks, art supplies, journals, water bottles, gift cards or small games at the following locations:
- Arlington Police Department (112 Mystic St) – Arlington Center;
- First Parish Unitarian Universalist Church (630 Mass. Ave.) – Arlington Center;
- Leader Bank (141 Massachusetts Ave) – East Arlington;
- Leader Bank (1201 Massachusetts Ave) – Arlington Heights;
- LivFit (471 Massachusetts Ave) – Arlington Center;
- Mill Café (14 Mill Street) – Arlington Center; and
- The Roasted Granola (1346 Massachusetts Ave) – Arlington Heights.

The troop has been asked to serve nearly 250 local teens in need, so your generosity will be greatly appreciated.

Troop 306’s logo. It is based in Arlington.
Troop 306 in Arlington includes all genders. It has an emphasis on outdoor adventure, leadership training and skills building.
The troop also takes part in monthly community-service activities in addition to working on individual service projects, organizers say.
The troop has been active for more than 100 years, having started in 1917. The First Baptist Church of Arlington is its sponsor.
