“Hanukkah at Capitol Theatre,” Wednesday, Dec. 25, at 5 p.m.This event is scheduled to begin with the lighting of a 4-foot menorah at Arlington’s Capitol Theatre, (204 Mass. Ave.) There will be a Chinese dinner, Hanukkah treats, followed by the screening of a family movie. Popcorn and soft drinks will also be served. “Gelt Drop at the Arlington Fire Station,” Thursday, Dec. 26 at 3 p.m.Joining center participants will be the Arlington Fire department for a menorah lighting outside the fire station (411 Mass. Ave.), followed by a fire-safety presentation by the town’s firefighters. This event is scheduled to conclude with a gelt drop, where guests can expect firefighters to toss buckets of chocolate gelt for children to collect. Crafts, doughnuts and latkes will be served as well. This is a free event.
- Belmont Center Menorah Lighting, Dec. 26 at 6 p.m.
This is a menorah-lighting ceremony in front of the M&T Bank branch in Belmont Center featuring music, songs, and Hanukkah treats.
