Calling all families with youth in kindergarten through third grade, the Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts say that they are welcoming new members. Today, Sunday, Oct. 29, from 2 to 3:30 p.m., the organization plans to host “Juliette’s Birthday Par-Tea” at Camp Cedar Hall in Waltham.
Juliette Gordon Low founded the organization in 1912; she was born Oct. 31, 1860.

Organizers say that they are hoping to see many prospective Girl Scouts there.
According to its website, the Arlington Girl Scouts is a collaboration between the girls of Arlington and adult volunteers to create a community where girls connect, grow, learn and become leaders.
