As the Andover girls’ swimming and diving team captured the North sectional championship for the eighth straight season Saturday, Nov. 12, at Boston University, Arlington High School boys won a title with a victory in the 200-medley relay and a strong showing by senior Richard McIsaac.
McIsaac took home individual titles in the 50- and 100-freestyle races, setting meet records in both, to stretch the gap between the Spy Ponders and the rest of the field.
“He’s improved every season. He’s really come into his own,” Arlington coach Adler Su told The Globe. “He defended both his titles and there’s a little extra incentive for him trying to set those meet records.
