The East Arlington Livable Streets Coalition (EALS) has scheduled its January meeting for 7 tonight (no longer 7:30), Wednesday, Jan. 8, at the Fox Library.
The group hopes its members will attend the community open house Thursday, Jan. 9, from 5 to 8 p.m., at the Town Hall Auditorium to discuss parking issues in Arlington Center. It’s a drop-in, so stop by any time for as long as you want.
There is also a survey associated with the effort. The focus of it appears very narrow as all questions relate to parking access, cost and convenience.
This was a missed opportunity for a more holistic approach that could have asked a few questions related to nonparking improvements that might encourage more folks to walk, bike or take the bus more frequently to the Center.
