More than 100 people turned out at the playground at Robbins Farm Park on Sunday, Aug. 30 in support of U.S. Senator Ed Markey, who is up for reelection. Markey was introduced by Tyler Hack of the Christopher Street Project.
Markey faces challenger U.S. Rep. Seth Moulton in the Democratic state primary on Sept. 1. Moulton was in Arlington recently doing a bike ride “whistle stop” type tour along the Minuteman Bikeway.
State Rep. Dave Rogers, a Cambridge Democrat who represents six Arlington precincts, was on hand at Robbins Farm to support Markey. Rogers faces a primary challenger in Nomita Ganguly of Belmont.
Robbins Farm is located across the street from the Brackett Elementary School on Eastern Avenue in the Heights and serves as a polling location for Precincts 12 and 14.
