Arlington turns out at the ‘Res’ on June 19 to celebrate the World Cup

UPDATED, June 23: Today’s watch party, scheduled for 2 p.m. at the Reservoir recreation area on Lowell Street, has been canceled because of the rainy weather. The town announced that Reservoir Beach, the town’s swimming area, will be closed today as well.

The June 24 watch party is still on for the Res.

Meanwhile, more than 2,000 people turned out at the Arlington Reservoir recreation area for the June 19 viewing party to watch local native Miles Robinson and the U.S. Men’s National Team take on Australia in a 2-to-0 win. The viewing party, along with a second one at the Town Hall, was organized by the town of Arlington.

There will be more viewing parties at the Res.
