Robbins Library is installing a new reference desk to better serve its visitors – but the maintenance for this new addition means closures. The reference desk is scheduled to be closed Thursday, Oct. 9, and Friday, Oct. 10, and some library services will be temporarily unavailable.
According to the library website, the reference department will not have telephone access during the installation. Library patrons can ask reference questions or reserve study rooms by using the library’s chat feature or “Contact Us” link via robbinslibrary.org.
Express computers, printing or scanning will not be available at Robbins Library during this time. Those looking to access printing and scanning services are encouraged to visit the Fox Branch Library (175 Mass. Ave.).
Laptops for in-house use will still be available to check out at the circulation desk.
The library will announce when services are restored.
