UPDATED Oct. 17: The following plea from Erica Schwarz, executive director of the Housing Corporation of Arlington (HCA), has been updated.
A generous Arlington supporter earlier challenged the HCA to raise $15,000 by Oct. 15 for its homelessness-prevention program and the backer would match it.
On Oct. 17, Schwarz reported that HCA has raised $16,266, “so we will get the full match.
If you didn’t get a chance to donate yet, you still can give. One hundred percent of your gift will become homelessness-prevention grants to help Arlington residents remain stably housed.
