Published since 2006 and a nonprofit since 2021, the site is the single best way to find out about Arlington — all for free, 24/7 and only online.
A reporter’s age does not matter. Essential are common sense, courtesy, knowing/caring about journalism, being willing to learn/grow with the organization and being computer literate.
We seek candidates who:
- Know/care about Arlington;
- Are ready, willing and able to keep their own biases out of news copy;
- Have experience in journalism, including online;
- Know grammar and can spell accurately;
- Are polite and professional — but pleasantly persistent when necessary to pursue a story;
- Can agree to editing and leave their ego at the door;
- Can take assignments as given and supply ideas for future articles;
