At 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 22, at the Masonic Temple, 19 Academy St., you have the opportunity to learn new insights from recent archaeological explorations that focus on 17th-century Plymouth.
Archaeologist and Arlington resident Christa Beranek shares details of the first intact deposits from inside the palisaded settlement in downtown Plymouth — a house site dating between 1620 and 1660 and a Mashpee Wampanoag tribe occupation area. Discover what this work has revealed about the social and cultural interactions between the English and Wampanoag during that time.
Beranek is a project archaeologist for Umass/Boston’s Fiske Center for Archaeological Research.
