UPDATED, Aug 2: The Arlington School Committee is conducting a search for a new superintendent, who will join us when Superintendent Kathleen Bodie retires at the end of the 2020-21 school year.
The Massachusetts Association of School Committees (MASC), on behalf of the Arlington School Committee, is conducting another series of focus groups to prepare for our search for a new superintendent.
The purpose of the focus groups is to prepare a profile of the district and community that will be a resource for the search committee and potential candidates. The district anticipates advertising the position in September, with the goal of selecting a candidate by the end of the calendar year.
The final two scheduled focus groups were:
- 7 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 2: Arlington Special Education Parents Advisory Council (SEPAC) and
- 7 p.m. Monday, August 3: Focus group for Arlington residents.
