Arlington’s planning department has completed a plan aimed at reviving Arlington Heights.
The goal of the project was to review several actions relevant to the Heights cited in the town master plan.
These include as exploring options for spurring revitalization of the area to improve its potential for economic development. Doing that meant examining potential barriers to development and recommending future zoning or regulatory amendments. Among the recommendations is to rezone the Gold’s Gym site (p. 37).
To complete the work, town planning received a $30,000 technical-assistance grant from the Metropolitan Area Planning Council.
