A 23-year-old Arlington man has been indicted on charges linked to a 2017 Cambridge armed robbery as well as assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
On Nov. 20, 2017, at about 1 a.m., an adult male later identified as Benjamin Rucker entered a pharmacy on Mass. Ave. in Cambridge. Security footage allegedly shows the defendant and his codefendant, John Morgan, engage in a conversation.
Shortly thereafter, the defendant and his codefendant are alleged to have following the victim onto Pearl Street, physically assaulted him and stole his backpack which contained items, including a laptop and iPad.
An arraignment date has not been scheduled.
These indictments were handed down between Sept. 26 and Nov. 20, 2018. The office of District Attorney Marian Ryan reported them Tuesday, Dec. 11.
These charges are allegations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
