UPDATED, Feb. 4: An estimated 200 people, many holding candles, crowded onto the lawn in front of First Parish Unitarian Universalist of Arlington for a vigil held solidarity with Muslims on Wednesday, Feb. 1.

Globe, Feb. 4: Somerville celebrates 30 years
For a half-hour, speakers, who were hard to hear despite attempts at amplification, expressed support for immigrants following the Trump administration action Jan. 27 to restrict travel to the United States from seven Mideast nations that have largely Muslim population.
The vigil also supported World Hijab Day, which recognizes the millions of Muslim women who choose to wear the hijab. All ages and faiths were welcome.
