E. Arlington tale of ‘Storefront Stories’ ends

UPDATED, Dec. 8: After members of Arlington Public Art held a reception Nov. 30, hosted by the Friends of the Fox., and participants discussed “Storefront Stories/The East Arlington Story Project.” Adria Arch wrote on Facebook on Dec. 8 that the images would soon be coming down.

“Sadly, we are about to take down our wonderful murals in East Arlington in the next days and weeks,” she wrote on The Arlington List Facebook site. “Thanks for the love, everyone …. We’ll be power washing the buildings so that nothing is left to look yucky in the winter.”

On Nov 30, the group celebrated the completion of a printed Zine designed by Nilou Moochhala documenting the project in stories and photos.  

If you miss the reception, pick up the Storefront Stories Zine at the Fox Library or local stores in Capitol Square.

Tour all 14 temporary wall installations while they are still up — we have to take them down before winter sets in.
