Town Meeting rejected a substitute motion an Article 8 from Bill Hayner:
I, Bill Hayner , do hereby submit the following Substitute Motion:
VOTED:
That the Town hereby establishes a committee, the Minuteman Vocational Education District Financial Analysis Committee, to be comprised of seven (7) members the responsibility and duties of the committee shall be to study the a cost benefit analysis of the proposed revised agreement of the Minuteman Vocational Education district; specifically related to the issues of capital expenditures and assessment of the operating budget under the current and proposed agreement. The members of the committee shall be appointed in the following manner; the Moderator shall appoint three (3) citizens of the Town and shall designate one of its appointees as acting chairman, the Board of Selectmen, the School Committee, the Finance Committee and the Treasurer shall each appoint one each.
The committee shall report back to and make recommendations to the 2016 Town Meeting regarding the acceptance or rejection of the proposed revised agreement to the
Minuteman Vocational Education district. Thereafter the committee shall dissolve, unless its charge is extended by that Town Meeting.
