– Funding: I have been the budget chair of the school committee for the last three years. I have worked to ensure strong relationships with local, state and federal officials to advocate for more funding for our schools. I will continue to work to improve communication and processes that further strengthen funding for our public schools.
– Facilities: We have one elementary school (Stratton) to bring up to equity, and we need to rebuild our high school. We have a burgeoning population of school children to educate. We need to have long range plans for handling the maintenance and upkeep of our facilities.
– Information: We need to keep everyone in town aware of happenings in education at all levels (local, state and federal). We need to share our struggles and our successes and help ensure that everyone knows where to get the information that they need about the schools.
Town elections will be held on Saturday, March 28. Polls will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. I respectfully ask for one of your votes for School Committee.
