The Town of Arlington Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program has released its draft report for its annual performance and evaluation for last year, the 46th. That report was available for public comment through 4 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 15.
The report summarizes CDBG objectives undertaken in Arlington from July 1, 2020, through June 30, 2021. The town is looking for feedback about its efforts.
The comment period is open under the guidelines established by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Federal CDBG funds are distributed for community-based programs that facilitate decent housing, a suitable living environment and expanded economic opportunities, principally for persons of low- and moderate-incomes.
The draft report and annual plan are available to view at arlingtonma.gov/cdbg.
Upon timely request, the town will provide reasonable accommodation to enable individuals with disabilities or limited English proficiency to participate in public comment, including access to materials in alternative formats.
