Hardy 3rd grader honored after spotting fire
Mason Conway, a third grader at Hardy School, was honored Friday, April 30, as a "local hero."
On March 5, he noticed that his East Arlington neighbor's porch was on fire, Chief Kevin Kelley told YourArlington. "He immediately notified his parents, who called 911, and Mason knocked on the neighbors' door to alert them to evacuate," he wrote.
In the Arlington Fire Department photo are, from left in front, Chief Kelley, Mason and his family. At rear are five members of the department.
