Arlington Philharmonic offers pops, strawberries
The Arlington Philharmonic Orchestra plans to present its Strawberry and Ice Cream Festival and Pops Concert on Saturday, June 11, with the Arlington-Belmont Chorale and the Arlington-Belmont Chamber Chorus.
The evening will begin with strawberries on ice cream in the gardens beside the Town Hall from 5:30 to 7 p.m. (weather permitting), with entertainment by the Liberty Bones Brass Ensemble.
The concert is at 7 p.m. in Town Hall. This year’s theme is “Music of the Stars.” The chorale will perform "Moonglow," "Swinging on a Star," "I Got the Sun in the Morning," "It’s Only a Paper Moon," "Rocket Man" by Elton John, "Across the Universe" by John Lennon and more.
The orchestra will perform Holst's "Jupiter" from "The Planets," credit music from "Castle in the Sky" and a selection of music from "Star Wars" by John Williams.
The PSA’s Covid policy requires that all attendees, regardless of age, must have had their Covid vaccinations to attend the concert.
In additions, masks are required inside the Town Hall at all times.
There will be no food or drinks served in the hall, so that masks will remain on. Tables on the floor will be fewer and spaced for added safety and comfort of our attendees.
Tickets: Strawberries and Ice Cream tickets are $5. Table seats on the floor are $20, balcony seats are $10 for adults and $5 for children.
For tickets, please contact the PSA box office at 781-234-8377. Tickets may also be purchased at the door.
