The Arlington Human Rights Commission seeks proposals from artists who are black, indigenous and people of color for a series of banners exploring and celebrating the history of black business achievement in the United States, New England and/or greater Boston.

Proposals for creation of the banners are due Wednesday, Jan. 25, at midnight.

The selected artist will receive $1,000 for six designs, which will be displayed along Mass. Ave. in Arlington during February and also will be featured on social media.

This effort is co-sponsored by the Arlington Commission for Arts and Culture.
