UPDATED, Sept. 22: The grants committee of the Arlington Commission for Arts and Culture (Arlington Cultural Council) has announced the opening of the 2022 grant-application cycle on Sept. 1. All applications must be submitted on or before Oct. 15.
The committee offers annually grants that typically range from $150 to $1,000. A grant can be used for many purposes to benefit the community of Arlington, including using the arts to create cultural inclusion, to bring interpretive science or history to life or to address social or environmental justice.

Grant-writing workshop Sept. 22: The grants committee held a virtual grant-writing workshop for 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 22.
This is an opportunity for applicants to learn more about how to craft a strong proposal and ask questions about the grant-application process.

Grant-presentation sessions: After Oct. 15, the committee will schedule virtual sessions to present proposals. This allows the committee to make sure it has the most complete understanding of your proposal. These sessions will most likely occur in early December; all applicants will be notified about them.
The ACAC Grants Committee is part of a network of local cultural councils serving all 351 cities and towns in the Commonwealth. The program is the largest grass-roots cultural funding network in the nation, supporting thousands of community-based projects in the arts, sciences and humanities annually. The state Legislature provides an annual appropriation to the state cultural council, which then allocates funds locally.
