Letter to the Editor: I appreciate the information from a select board member regarding the Veterans Memorial Park project.
I guess we are expected to just sit patiently waiting for some time in 2027 to get things moving on the remodel of the veterans memorial in Arlington Center. I personally have been informed of four different reasons that this project has been delayed and about eight years of expected starting dates.
I have reviewed the updated Vietnam listing of Arlington men and women who served, along with the callout for those who made the ultimate sacrifice. These lists seem to be nearly ready to post. These veterans are all in their seventies and eighties. It would be great to release the remodel plan schedule with an expected start and completion date and make it happen.
Who makes the decisions, where is this on the 2027 list of town projects, and will the whole thing be postponed again for new tennis courts or some other important project?
