The town of Arlington will observe Veterans Day today, Tuesday, Nov. 11, with a Veterans Day Procession and ceremony.
The procession participants will gather at 10:15 a.m. in the Walgreens parking lot (324 Mass. Ave.) and the parade will start at 10:30 a.m. toward the Central Fire Station (411 Mass. Ave., Arlington. At 11:00 a.m., there will be a ceremony inside the station, followed by a wreath-laying at the Arlington Veterans Monument in front of the station.
On Monday, the town dedicated a memorial for Private First Class Christopher Brine, a member of the U.S. Marine Corps who was killed in Vietnam in 1967. The memorial is at the corner of Churchill and Windermere avenues.
There will no delay in trash and recycling collection, according to an announcement sent out by the town.
Not all holidays will impact trash and recycling collection. Waste disposal will continue on the new collection schedule, and there will be no delay due to the holiday, unlike previous years.
However, town offices and libraries will be closed in recognition of the holiday. All Robbins and Fox branch libraries will not be operating that day, and the following town buildings will be closed:

- Fire Administrative, 411 Mass. Ave.
