To the editor: Arlington is really a great town – we are so fortunate to be part of this wonderful community. This past week provided two examples of what our town offers.
On Saturday, Arlington Town Day featured booth upon booth of community resources and agencies. We were struck that everyone – kids, parents, seniors, even dogs – seemed to be having a great time. Even our governor, Arlington resident Maura Healey, flanked by state senator Cindy Friedman and state rep Sean Garballey, melted into the crowd, visiting booths and speaking with residents. Thanks, Arlington, for putting on such a great event.
Last Friday evening we were treated to another Arlington special treat – a performance of the musical farce “Triumph of Love” by the Arlington Friends of the Drama. What a fabulous production! The cast delivered in every way – impeccable timing, incredible voices, hilarious dialogue and lyrics. If you haven’t seen this play, rush to catch its final performances the weekend of Sept. 26 through 28. Even better, become subscribers as we are. AFD consistently delivers great performances.
