Updated Nov. 22: “Plug in @ The Robbins,” an educational series targeting those 50 and older, was the host for a free jazz concert at 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 25, in Town Hall (730 Mass. Ave.).
Les Sampou & The Dirty Martinis performed from the American songbook jazz classics as well as top-40 classics for all ages. A recent news release says Sampou has performed at venues worldwide and was the support act for prominent artists including Aretha Franklin, Pat Benatar, Johnny Lang and Sugarland.
YourArlington’s files say this concert was originally scheduled for September; however, inclement weather postponed the performance.

A storytelling workshop featuring worldwide traditions, rituals, and legends is scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 5, in the Robbins Library community room. Author Norah Dooley is set to lead the storytelling evening and encourage attendees to share their stories with fellow workshop participants.
