The Capitol Theatre in East Arlington is the venue for “Disasterpiece Theater,” a celebration of “bad movies” that usually takes place on the last Monday of each month. The most recent scheduled screening was 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, July 29.
“We screen truly terrible Z- and B-grade movies strictly on VHS and have a great time making fun of them in a group-created comedy event,” organizer Alex Arsenaul wrote to YourArlington in a recent email.
This event is for those 21 years or older. Audience members are encouraged to join in on the fun and make commentary about the film. The Capitol is at 204 Mass. Ave.
According to the Capitol Theatre website, attendees can arrive early for a pre-show “tape swap” with other attendees.
