Rogovin added more recently via email that his group reviews pond water quality, animal life, recreational activity, abutter concerns and other matters relevant to the pond; advises Arlington’s Conservation Committee and town officials on pond care and maintenance; and actively participates in some of those efforts to maintain the pond and shore. He added that past volunteers and sponsors have included “Mass. DOT (a faithful and critical supporter), the Appalachian Mountain Club (another important ally since our inception), The Scouts, Arlington/Belmont Rowing, the Town of Arlington, The Arlington Land Trust and others.”
