UPDATED Dec. 10: Arlington Friends of the Drama invited residents to the romantic comedy “One Slight Hitch,” which opened Dec. 1 and ran through Dec. 10, 2023.
Residents may attend an 8 p.m. performance tonight, Dec. 9, or a 3 p.m. performance Sunday, Dec. 10.
According to an email from AFD, the show featured seven actors: Arlington resident Karen Fanale along with Jon Nuquist, Kayleigh Ryan, Kimberly Blaise, Cassidy Guimares, Mack Carroll and Riley Flynn. Concord Players member David Dooks is directing these performances.
Mask-wearing by audience members was still recommended but no longer required, according to the AFD website.
The theater is wheelchair-accessible through an outdoor elevator to the left of the main entrance. Assistive listening devices are expected to be available. All performances are scheduled to take place at AFD Theatre, 22 Academy St., near Town Hall. On-street parking is available.

According to a press release emailed to YourArlington, this show, written by comedian Lewis Black, is about the messy unraveling of wedding preparations when the bride’s ex-boyfriend suddenly shows up at her family home. The dialogue is said to be full of Black’s hallmark wit and cultural commentary — and has a touch of sweetness not always expected in a comedy.
