The suspect is described as a white male in his late 30s or early 40s. He was wearing a black Boston Bruins’ hooded sweatshirt, heart-shaped sunglasses and a baseball cap.
The incident is under investigation by Arlington Police. The FBI Violent Crimes Task Force has responded to the scene.
“We will utilize all assets at our disposal to hold the suspect responsible for this brazen robbery in our community,” Chief Fred Ryan said in the 5 p.m. news release from John Guilfoil. “If anyone heard or saw anything out of the ordinary this afternoon, I strongly urge them to contact police.”

Police were asked for a copy of the incident report, but declined to provide it, because the case remains under investigation.
