Big: Arlington’s more than 2-year-old effort to arrive at a plan for the town’s next two decades, led by informed planners and an advisory committee, moves toward a Jan. 12 public hearing in Town Hall. A draft plan was made public in November, and comments are accepted through Dec. 1. Time to speak up, public!
Small: As the Arlington High girls’ varsity soccer team pursued the school’s first team state championship in 22 years, Henry Brush provided summaries. In the scope of such issues as climate change, this effort is relatively small — yet it looms large for me. The summaries are what I had hoped for beginning in 2006, when I launched YourArlington: The site encourages residents to write about what they know.
And Brush did. As president of the Arlington Soccer Club, he knows the game and reported fast-paced summaries with telling detail. Read his summaries:
