How to make it a success
The Family Arts Area will have interactive games and crafts.
To make it a success, consider becoming a supporter of the all-day bash with bucks. I am.
If you do, you can get something in return: recognition.
If you do, Arlington gets something, too: a party that helps deepen who we are. We are not another Boston suburb whose sidewalks contract nightly as we hide behind our TVs at home. (Are we?) At times, we rock and step out for moments of joy that music brings. (Don’t we?)
I’ll turn 71 that day, but I’m still the kid. Arlington is 147 years old.
It’s not time for me settle back yet, to retire, and if our town has settled in some of its ways, it’s time for Old Menotomy get up and dance.
Businesses increase visibility
In addition, the party can bring visibility to your business. Last year, more than 1,500 visitors from Arlington and the Greater Boston area attended the event.
Press included three “best bet” picks in The Boston Globe, four weeks of articles in The Advocate and ongoing publicity from May to July at YourArlington. The Arlington Alive website, highlighting sponsors’ logos and links, had more than 2,500 unique visitors and was linked to by more than 70 websites.
Business sponsors for this year’s event will benefit from a robust marketing campaign, including:
• A full-page color ad in the Arlington Shopper and its sister publications in surrounding communities-Lexington, Bedford, Belmont, Winchester and Woburn, with a total circulation of more than 80,000
• A direct email from the subscription event site WhoFish, sent to more than 12,000 subscribers in Arlington, Lexington, Bedford, Belmont, Winchester and Woburn
• Pole banners in Arlington Center promoting the Summer Arts Block Party
• Promotion via print (posters and fliers) and online (website links and social media)
From sponsoring a performance stage, to offering discounts to shop or dine at a hosted table, there are a variety of options to visibly brand your business as part of the Arlington Alive Summer Arts Block Party, reach new clients and encourage attendees to learn more about and/or visit your place of business.
