| Basketball: AC girls reach 13-1 with win at St. Mary's |

Arlington Catholic girls improved to 13-1 with a 55-38 win at St. Mary's (7-6) on Monday, Jan. 30. Arlington High School girls fell to 6-8 with a 53-40 loss Tuesday, Jan. 31, at Melrose (8-5) after edging out Waltham (then 1-14), 40-39 on Sunday, Jan. 29. The Arlington Catholic boys' basketball team dropped to 10-2 in a 78-61 loss at St. Mary's (13-3) on Jan. 30. Arlington High School boys, now 6-8, lost at Melrose (9-2), 81-61 on Jan. 31.
