| New ('No. 7') van rolls up to CoA |
|
The Council on Aging recently took delivery of its new handicapped-accessible Ford van. It replaces "ol’ number three," the 1996 Dodge, which has given great service over the years but was ready for retirement.
The Ford (the new "number 7") is modern, more spacious and more comfortable and is built to provide years of safe and reliable service to CoA riders.
The major part of the funding for this vehicle came from an 80 percent state grant through the Executive Office of Transportation And Public Works.

| Delayed Washington St. repaving underway |
| Months of bump-and-grind of driving on Washington Street may end in late August, as long-delayed $300,000 repaving, due to start the week of July 6, finally got underway Thursday, July 22. A truck was sweeping the street before 6 a.m. Saturday, July 24.
Once the new surface eases your neighborhood commute, you also may see improvements at Overlook and Ronald.
The question has been: When will the work really start? No observable repaving work occurred the week of July 6 or through July 19.
