The Arlington Health Department has added a seasonal flu and pneumonia vaccination clinic to be held Thursday, Jan. 3, from 1. to 3 p.m. at the Senior Center, at 27 Maple St.

The Centers for Disease Control recommends all persons 6 months and older receive the seasonal flu vaccination annually.

A pneumonia vaccination is recommended for persons 60 and older or for persons younger than 60 who have chronic health problems, such as heart disease, asthma or diabetes.

To expedite the vaccination process, visit arlingtonma.gov/health to download and complete the vaccination form before the clinic.

There is no fee for residents whose insurance provider is participating in the State Vaccination Program. Residents must bring their insurance card(s) to the clinic.

There is a $15 per vaccination fee for residents who do not have a participating insurance.

For additional information, see arlingtonma.gov/health or call the flu hotline at 781-316-3411.
